Metal fabrication is the enabling discipline that underpins virtually every sector of Saudi Arabia's expanding industrial economy — without the ability to cut, form, weld, and assemble metal components to precise dimensional and quality standards, there could be no oil and gas infrastructure, no chemical processing plants, no industrial warehouses, no shipbuilding, and no large-scale construction. Bright Line Gulf operates a purpose-built, fully equipped metal fabrication facility in the Kingdom, offering the complete range of fabrication services — CNC plasma cutting, plate rolling, press brake forming, MIG and TIG welding, structural assembly, and multi-coat protective coating — to clients in the oil and gas, construction, petrochemical, marine, and industrial manufacturing sectors. Our fabrication shop is managed by experienced fabrication engineers who review every drawing for constructability, plan the fabrication sequence for efficiency and quality, procure certified materials from approved suppliers with full material traceability, and supervise production through to final inspection and delivery. We hold active welding procedure qualifications under AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and project-specific ARAMCO, SABIC, and Royal Commission welding standards, and our quality management system is structured to deliver documented, audit-ready quality records for every fabrication we produce — from simple structural brackets to complex ASME pressure vessels.

Welding quality is the single most critical factor in the structural integrity and service life of any fabricated metal assembly, and it is the area where Bright Line Gulf invests most heavily in qualified people, documented procedures, and rigorous inspection. Our welding capability covers all major arc welding processes: GMAW (MIG) welding for high-productivity structural and general fabrication applications; GTAW (TIG) welding for root passes in pipe spools, stainless steel fabrications, aluminium components, and any application requiring the highest weld quality and lowest heat input; SMAW (stick) welding for field welding, repair, and positional work in restricted access locations; and FCAW (flux-cored) welding for high-deposition structural welding in semi-automatic configurations. All welding processes are applied to the full range of base metals required by our client base — carbon steels to ASTM A36, A572, and API 5L specifications; austenitic stainless steels in 304L, 316L, and duplex 2205 grades; aluminium alloys 5083 and 6061; and high-performance alloys for specialist applications. Every weld procedure in active use on our shop floor is supported by a qualified Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) tested to the requirements of the applicable code, and every welder is qualified by a coupon test witnessed by an approved inspection authority before being permitted to work on a production weld.

Precision cutting and forming capabilities determine the dimensional accuracy of fabricated components before welding even begins, and the quality of the cutting and forming process has a direct impact on fit-up accuracy, welding time, and final dimensional conformance. Our CNC plasma cutting tables are programmed directly from customer-supplied DXF files or from drawings produced by our own CAD operators, enabling complex plate profiles, hole patterns, notches, copes, and interlocking connection geometry to be cut from carbon and stainless steel plate ranging from 1.5mm to 60mm thick with dimensional accuracy of ±1mm on profile dimensions. This level of cutting precision eliminates the secondary grinding and fitting operations that add cost and time when inferior cutting processes are used. Our plate rolling machines handle plate widths up to 2.5 metres and are capable of producing cylindrical shells, conical sections, and curved segments to precise diameter and radius tolerances for pressure vessel shells, storage tank courses, pipe bends, and architectural curved steelwork. Our hydraulic press brakes with CNC back gauges produce angular bends in sheet and plate materials with bend angle accuracy of ±0.5° and consistent bend line location, enabling the repeatable production of channel sections, box sections, angle brackets, enclosure panels, and complex multi-bend profiles.

Surface preparation and protective coating are the final critical steps in every Bright Line Gulf fabrication, and our in-house capability to perform these operations means that your fabricated items arrive on site primed, painted, and ready to install — without the additional lead time, transportation damage risk, or quality inconsistency that arises when fabricated items are shipped off-site for surface treatment. Our blast booth performs abrasive blasting to Sa 2.5 (near-white) and Sa 3 (white metal) surface cleanliness standards using steel grit and shot abrasives, achieving the anchor profile required for high-performance coating adhesion. Protective coating systems are applied in accordance with client-specified paint schedules — ARAMCO APCS schedules, NACE-based corrosion protection systems, or standard commercial paint systems — using airless spray application for uniform film thickness. Dry film thickness is measured on every coat using calibrated magnetic pull-off gauges, adhesion testing is performed per ASTM D4541 after the full system has cured, and holiday detection per NACE SP0188 is conducted on applied coatings before each item is cleared for dispatch. For items requiring hot-dip galvanising for very long-term corrosion protection in aggressive atmospheric or buried service conditions, we coordinate with SAES-compliant galvanising contractors and conduct receipt inspection of galvanised items before acceptance.

Scope of Work

Structural Steel Fabrication

Complete structural steel fabrication for all building and industrial structure types: H-beam and I-section primary frame members, channel and angle secondary members, hollow section columns, welded built-up plate girders for heavy loading applications, truss chord and web members, purlin and girt sections, bracing systems, and all connection plates, end plates, base plates, and gusset plates. All members are cut, drilled, coped, and welded from certified mill material to AWS D1.1 or BS EN 1090 standards with dimensional checks at every stage of production and weld inspection including visual and MPI as required by the project specification.

Pipe Spools & Piping Assemblies

Fabrication of pipe spools and piping assemblies in carbon steel, stainless steel (304L, 316L, 321), alloy steels, duplex stainless, and CPVC for process, utility, and building services applications. All pipe spool fabrication follows certified isometric drawings with pipe class specifications controlling material grade, wall thickness, fitting types, and weld inspection requirements. Pipe cutting, end bevelling, socket or butt weld fit-up, GTAW root and SMAW fill welding, NDT using RT or UT, dimensional inspection, and hydrostatic pressure testing with full documentation packages are provided as standard for pressure service spools.

Storage Tanks & Pressure Vessels

Design and fabrication of atmospheric storage tanks to API 650 — including fixed roof, floating roof, and conical bottom configurations — and pressure vessels to ASME VIII Division 1 for working pressures from full vacuum to high-pressure service. All pressure-containing fabrication is supported by complete material traceability from certified mill plate to finished product, a weld map identifying every weld with its procedure reference and welder identification, NDT results, and calibrated hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure test records witnessed by the client's or a third-party inspection agency's inspector. ASME nameplate stamping coordination with an Authorised Inspection Agency is provided for vessels requiring ASME certification.

Equipment Skids & Structural Frames

Custom-fabricated equipment skids, process module base frames, pump bases, compressor foundations, pipe rack structures, cable tray supports, instrument stands, and access platforms designed and fabricated to client drawings and specifications. Skid fabrication includes all lifting lug design and welding, equipment anchorage provisions, pipe nozzle stub-outs, grout pockets, and surface finishing to the specified protective coating system. Load testing of lifting lugs and final dimensional survey reports are provided for all skids where specified by the client or applicable lifting equipment standard.

Architectural & Decorative Metalwork

Fabrication of architectural metalwork for commercial, hospitality, residential, and public building projects including staircases with steel stringers and steel or glass balustrades, entrance canopies and sunshades in steel and aluminium, security gates and boundary fencing, decorative screen panels, feature wall cladding in stainless steel and Corten steel, signage frames, and bespoke reception and display structures. Finishes available include mirror-polished stainless, brushed satin stainless, powder coat in any RAL colour, hot-dip galvanised, and specialist architectural coatings. Shop drawings and material samples are submitted for client approval before fabrication commences on all architectural metalwork items.

CNC Plasma Cutting

High-precision CNC plasma cutting of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium plate from 1.5mm to 60mm thick using our programmable cutting tables driven directly from client-supplied DXF files or from drawings produced by our CAD operators. CNC plasma cutting enables complex plate profiles, large and small diameter holes, coping and notching, interlocking structural shapes, and repetitive profiles to be cut with dimensional accuracy of ±1mm and cut-face quality that eliminates secondary grinding for most structural and fabrication applications. Nesting optimisation software maximises material utilisation and minimises offcut waste, reducing material costs on large cutting orders.

Plate Rolling & Press Brake Forming

Cylindrical shells, conical sections, and curved plate segments produced on our hydraulic plate rolling machines in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium up to 2.5 metres wide and 25mm thick, with diameter tolerances held to ±3mm for pressure vessel shell courses and architectural curved features. Sheet and plate bending on our CNC press brakes produces accurate angular bends from 1mm sheet metal up to 20mm plate in standard and high-strength steels, with CNC back gauge control ensuring consistent bend line location and bend angle accuracy of ±0.5° across the full bend width. Multi-break profiles, box sections, and complex cross-sections are produced using programmed bend sequences.

Sandblasting & Protective Coating

Abrasive blast cleaning to Sa 2.5 near-white and Sa 3 white metal surface cleanliness standards using steel grit and shot in our enclosed blast room, achieving the surface anchor profile required for high-performance coating adhesion. Multi-coat protective paint systems applied by airless spray to ARAMCO APCS schedules, NACE corrosion protection systems, client-specified paint specifications, or standard commercial corrosion protection systems. Every coat is measured for dry film thickness using calibrated digital gauges, with readings recorded across a grid of measurement points on every item. Adhesion testing to ASTM D4541 and holiday/pinhole detection to NACE SP0188 are performed on completed coating systems before items are released for dispatch.

Why Choose Us

The Bright Line Advantage

AWS & ASME Certified Welders

The welding qualification system we operate is not simply a paper exercise for client approval — it is the technical foundation that guarantees every weld deposited in our fabrication shop meets the mechanical property requirements of the applicable code. Every welder assigned to a production job holds a current performance qualification certificate for the specific welding process, base material group, joint configuration, and position applicable to that job, with qualification coupons destructively tested by an approved third-party inspection body. Weld Procedure Specifications are written for every welding process and material combination in active use, supported by Procedure Qualification Records documenting the welding parameters and the mechanical test results — tensile strength, bend test, and impact testing where required — that prove the procedure produces welds meeting code requirements. For ARAMCO, SABIC, and Royal Commission projects, we maintain the client-specific welding procedure qualifications required by their engineering standards, which are different from and additional to the standard code qualifications, ensuring there are no approval delays at project start when the client's approved vendor inspector arrives on site.

In-House Cutting, Forming & Coating

The commercial and quality advantage of our fully integrated fabrication capability is most clearly understood when you consider the alternative — a fabrication contractor who cuts at one facility, rolls at another, welds at a third, and sends completed items to a fourth location for blasting and painting before they can be delivered to site. Each inter-contractor transfer introduces lead time, transportation damage risk, dimensional distortion from handling, and a dilution of quality accountability where each party can point to someone else's operation as the source of any nonconformance. At Bright Line Gulf, your fabrication order moves through every production stage — CNC plasma cutting, plate rolling, press brake forming, fit-up, welding, NDT, blasting, and coating — within our single fabrication facility under the continuous supervision of our fabrication engineer and QC inspector. This integration compresses production lead times, eliminates transfer delays, and means one team and one QC system is accountable for the dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and coating performance of every item we deliver.

Code-Compliant Pressure Vessel & Piping Fabrication

Fabricating pressure-containing equipment — storage tanks, pressure vessels, and pipe spools for oil, gas, chemical, and utility service — requires a level of technical rigour, documentation discipline, and third-party inspection management that goes far beyond structural fabrication. Bright Line Gulf has built the specific capability required for code-compliant pressure work: our welders hold ASME Section IX procedure qualifications, our material procurement system ensures all pressure parts are sourced with certified mill material test reports traceable to heat number, our weld inspection is performed by ASNT Level II certified NDT technicians using RT, UT, MPI, and DPI methods at the frequencies specified by the applicable code, and our hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing is conducted under witnessed conditions with calibrated gauges traceable to national standards. For ASME VIII Div.1 vessels, we work with an authorised inspection agency to satisfy the code's third-party inspection requirements and compile the data report required for ASME nameplate stamping. For API 650 storage tanks, we prepare the complete documentation package required for municipality and client acceptance.

Fast Turnaround, Stocked Materials

Fabrication lead time is one of the most commercially sensitive variables on any industrial or construction project — a delayed structural steel delivery holds up the erection crew and crane, a late pipe spool delivery stalls mechanical completion, and a missing equipment skid can prevent plant startup and trigger liquidated damages. Bright Line Gulf operates our fabrication shop on extended shift hours to maximise throughput for time-critical orders, and we maintain a working stock of the most commonly requested structural sections — H-beams, I-sections, channels, angles, and hollow sections in standard sizes — carbon steel plate in thicknesses from 3mm to 50mm, and carbon and stainless steel pipe in the most frequently ordered schedules and diameters. This material stock allows us to mobilise production on urgent orders within 24 hours of drawing approval without waiting for material procurement lead times from steel service centres. For clients with ongoing fabrication requirements, we operate a scheduled production system with reserved capacity blocks, enabling predictable, programme-aligned delivery of fabricated items throughout your project duration.
